The Isbjörn Sun Jumpsuit KS is designed for little explorers who want to splash around in safety without worrying about getting sunburnt – and it makes them look like proper surf dudes too.
I’ve reviewed Isbjörn gear on this blog before (their Stretch Panda hoodie is one of the best bits of kids’ kit we’ve found yet) and we’re massive fans of the Swedish brand. As if it isn’t cool enough that the word Isbjörn means Polar Bear in Swedish, they also put more thought into their gear than most companies I’ve come across.
Isbjörn was founded in 2005 by two women who couldn’t find good outdoor clothing for their babies. So they started making it themselves and that passion shows through in every piece of kit. Their range now covers newborn to 14 years and every product is carefully designed with quality stamped all the way through it.
Great sun protection
Sonny’s currently on his second Isbjörn Sun Jumpsuit KS after growing out of his first one, which he wore for everything from splashing about in his paddling pool to running through the Caribbean waves on our winter holiday to Mexico. The Jumpsuit is tested and certified with a sun protection of factor 50, and Sonny’s never had any sunburn issues wearing it.
Easy to put on
I’m not a massive fan of full-body suits for kids, because I still remember the torture of buttoning up baby grows, but this Jumpsuit is easy to put on and take off. There’s a big zip all the way up the back, and the stretchy fabric means you’ll still be able to stuff your kid into it even when they’ve mostly grown out of it.
The main material is resistant to saltwater, chlorine and sun, so don’t expect this Jumpsuit to fall apart on you quickly. It’s bluesign® approved too, which means the environment wasn’t demolished too much while it was being made!
